The Visitor, the Distinguished Visitor, and the Honored Visitor
There are times at different places in our lives that we have visitors (Possibly our jobs or homes). There are actually 3 different types of visitors. There is the "Visitor", who could be thought of as a person who frequents your place regularly. This could be a family member or a close friend that may show up unannounced. Then there is the "Distinguished Visitor". This is the person that might be their first time visiting your place or maybe it's been a long time. This is the person that you clean up before they come. Lastly, there is the "Honored Visitor". This is the person that we are most authentic with. We tell them that they are free to stay at our house for however long they need to. In contrast, which one is the Holy Spirit in our life? Is he just a "Visitor", That person that you love to see come and love to see go at our convenience? Is He the "Distinguished Visitor", the person famous that we know that we name drop to show people that we know Him? Or is He the "Honored Visitor", the one that we are most giving and most authentic to? The one that knows us best and we have no problem allowing Him to see us with our flaws and all (like He doesn't already know). Just who is the Holy Spirit to us and are we allowing Him to be all that He desires through us?
