Resit or Restrict

Resist the Devil and He will flee (James 4:7). If we don't then we are actually restricting God from working on our behalf. On a daily basis we have a decision to make. We can either turn towards God or we can turn away from Him. Turning towards God is how we can resist the devil. This reminds me of Proverbs 18:10 which says, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe". The Devil does not have access to enter the strong tower as we do. Which is why the enemy has to flee when we enter the strong tower, because the battle is not ours, it's the Lord's. It's amazing that the Lord is who we can run to for safety, but that place is also where the Lord will fight our battles for us. Today we must make a choice. Will we Resist the Devil or Restrict God.
