Intentionally on Purpose Without Conditions!
Proverbs 23:6-7 Do not eat the bread of a man who is stingy;do not desire his delicacies, for he is like one who is inwardly calculating. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
Proverbs 23:6 says we must be careful who we receive things from. Specifically, this scripture is talking about eating a meal from a person. Unfortunately, we all probably know some stingy individuals. Frugal, does not mean stingy either. Because I am sure that we all know some frugal individuals as well. Doing some inward reflecting, this scripture helps me further realize the importance of giving. I have learned that I have to be intentional with giving and give on purpose. I shouldn't give focusing on the blessing that comes from giving, but instead focusing on the God who has given me the opportunity to give. Do we reap what we sow? Absolutely we do, but no good farmer plants and waters and focuses on the end product. Good farmers stay in the moment and takes of each seed they've planted by pruning it and caring for it. Then in the season of harvest the farmer sees that they have much more than the seeds that they planted. If the focus was on the harvest the whole time, something in the steps of the care would go missed and part of the harvest would die. I encourage everyone to give intentionally and on purpose without conditions!
