Forgiveness Friday (Matt 18)

Today is Friday and it is a great day to forgive. How important is forgiveness? So important, that God gave us Jesus, who died for forgiveness of sins. If God showed His love for us by giving Jesus who extends forgiveness, shouldn't we show our love, by forgiving too? In Mathew 18 Peter asked Jesus how many times should he forgive a brother that sins against him. Jesus responded by telling him to forgive even if the brother sins against you 77 times. I believe that that the 77 times was not a literal amount, but it was stated figuratively. Meaning that, no matter how many times a person sins, against us we should forgive them. If there is someone that you have yet to forgive, I urge you to please seek strength from God to forgive them today. Don't let another day go by without doing so.
