What's Good to You?

The Enemy primarily uses our memories to supply temptation to us. Philippines 4:8 (KJV) states, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things". What things are of a good report to you? It can be hard to put this scripture into action if we are rarely optimistic. Have you ever met a person that always sees the bad in something, but rarely ever talks about anything good or how to improve it? They see a glass halfway empty instead of halfway full. Maybe we are that person and we feel that things rarely go our way. In situations that we find difficult, we must find what is good to us to change our mindset. At the very least we can think about Jesus and what He has done for us. And at the very most, we can think about Jesus and how he loves us. And in between there if we can't find something pure, or lovely, or of good report, we can think about...you guessed it...Jesus! Think about what's good to you today!
