Preventive Maintenance
In my experience in the military I have worked with equipment that has required Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI's) to be performed on it. PMI's do a couple of things, but a few that stand out are:
1. They help prevent the equipment from needing future repairs.
2. They help identify any repairs that are needed.
3. They keep the equipment running at optimum performance.
The invasiveness of a PMI depends on what type of PMI it is. A 28-day PMI normally is minimal and usually is just common cleaning. A-56 day includes cleaning as well as some system checks. An 84-day usually requires specific module or sensor checks (As well as whatever is conducted during a 56-day and 28-day). Lastly, a 336-day is a full check-up on the system and basically. checks everything. During all PMI's, corrosion is checked for and corrosion control is performed as needed.
A question for us all is when is the last time that we had a PMI completed for ourselves? Do we need some corrosion control performed on us? Have we allowed God to do a full check-up on us via the Holy Spirit?
